My NEW Day OFF! Today is the first day of my new "work/NON-work." Started 4/10's this week and I lucked out by getting Fridays off. Not everyone was so lucky. This means a 3 day weekend! Woo Hoo!! Some got a day off in the middle of the week. So what am I doing on my "Day-Off?" Let's see, it's just 8:00 am and I've got a load of laundry in and getting ready to vacumn. I've already called in a prescription to be picked up later, have a meeting at 11:45, then grocery shop and walk the dog.

On second thought I may not like this as much as I thought!

Oh, I do have time to paint a lil more....... Here's a New One. Enjoy! " Garden View"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I'd like to start this entry with a sincere "Best Wishes for a Healthy, Happy, Prosperous 2010."

Resolutions? Uh, none for me thank you. Not that I don't believe in resolutions it's just I'm exactly on schedule. Actually I'm "ahead of the game" in most regards. I'm planning on "staying the course" and continue to do as I've stated so many times in my "Artist Statement" to approach each day and painting with the intention of making it better than than the previous. Baby steps, one foot in front of the other and one breath at a time. INTENTIONS. I like that word. That's it, I've decided to make my word for the year, Intentions. Now to master making them all good ones.

Adios 2009 ! I could go on and on about how crappy 2009 was but I won't. I do know that it ended pretty lousy with the Mother-in-Law passing away a week before Christmas and me taking a 20% pay cut but hey, I still have a job. I've been so extremely blessed with relative good health, good friends and a wonderful wife and dog. What else does anyone need right?

More views like this would be nice and we are planning to make that move permanently next year about this time- 2010, Bring it baby! I'm ready!!

Another trip to Mexico

OK, so I went to mexico for a few weeks. Did a few things I haven't done in the past like stay in a jungle bungalow just west of Tulum: La Selva Mariposa http://www.laselvamariposa.com/
Went to Valladolid for Sunday Market, hung on the beaches of Tulum, went to the Mayan Ruins of Coba then back to Playa. We ate well, rested, read a lot, washed some dogs at the Peanut Pet Shelter, met new friends and saw lots of old ones. Life is good. Enjoy the pics!

Headed for the Border

We leave in 2 days! Man, I need this trip. It's been bordering on 40degree F and raining for the last 4 days, words have been spoken of SNOW FLAKES tonight- time to leave! The first few days we'll be staying in a jungle bungalow just west of Tulum. Days spent on the incredible beaches just south of the Tulum Ruins and even a trip out to the ruins at Coba. Unwind and get in the slower "south of the border" time-set. Adios and Hasta Luego mi Amigos.
